About the role
Create meaningful partnerships that help 1.3 million Queenslanders living with neurological conditions connect to a better life.
Some roles ask you to grow numbers. This one invites you to grow possibility.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy at MS Queensland. At its heart, this is a Strategic Relationships Manager role, focused on opening doors to new philanthropic partners who want to make a meaningful difference.
Behind every partnership is a person, a family and a community who can be better supported. Every conversation you start, every connection you nurture and every opportunity you unlock has the potential to create life-changing impact for people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
This role is for someone who loves building trust, connecting with people and turning shared purpose into meaningful support. You will help grow MS Queensland’s network of supporters, inspire new opportunities for giving and build partnerships that leave a legacy.
If you are curious, proactive and motivated by purpose, this may be the role you have been waiting for.
MS Queensland is a purpose-driven, not-for-profit charity supporting people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and neurological conditions. For more than 65 years, we have been a trusted voice and support provider for Queenslanders living with MS. Today, our work extends more broadly across neurological conditions, helping people access connection, wellness, information, services and support that improve quality of life.
Our purpose is deeply human: to ensure every Queenslander living with a neurological condition can connect to a better life.
Based at our contemporary Milton Neuro Wellness Hub on vibrant Park Road, you will join a collaborative team united by authenticity and purpose. We offer hybrid and flexible working, a culture built on trust and respect, and the chance to do meaningful work in a way that supports your wellbeing.
This is a rare opportunity to shape something meaningful at a pivotal time for MS Queensland.
In this role, you will play a key role in growing MS Queensland’s future impact by identifying, cultivating and securing new philanthropic and strategic partnership opportunities.
Working closely with the Board, Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders, Marketing and Supporter Impact teams, you will help shape compelling opportunities for major donors, trusts, foundations, corporate supporters and values-aligned partners to contribute to positive change.
This role is for someone who can see possibility before it becomes visible to others. Someone who understands that philanthropy is built through trust, shared purpose, thoughtful stewardship and the ability to inspire people to be part of something bigger.
In this role, you will support the MS Queensland community by:
This is an opportunity to create a legacy of impact. By building strong foundations today, you will help shape a future where Queenslanders living with a neurological condition are better connected, supported, and able to thrive.
You will be successful when you are:
You are a natural relationship-builder who knows how to create trust. You are curious, warm, proactive and comfortable starting meaningful conversations
You have experience in philanthropy, fundraising, major gifts, partnerships, trusts and foundations, community impact or purpose-led relationship development.
What matters most is your ability to connect with people authentically, understand what motivates them and inspire them to support a cause that changes lives.
To join MS Queensland, you will need to complete relevant compliance checks, including:
MS Queensland covers the cost and renewal of Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card requirements where applicable.
Here, your conversations can become new services. Your networks can become new sources of support. Your ability to open a door can help someone access the care, connection, information or confidence they need to live better with a neurological condition. If you believe every conversation has the potential to create positive change, we encourage you to apply.
