Shift Maintenance Electrician

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and flexible Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our close-knit maintenance team at our milk manufacturing factory in Labrador.

This is a full time role, reporting into a Maintenance Supervisor, that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster developed by the team which provides the site with 24 hour and 7 days per week coverage.

Our electricians are responsible for preventative and corrective electrical maintenance and troubleshooting programming/control faults as part of the factory’s maintenance team. In this role you will be part of a team of electricians and mechanical fitters and may be required to assist with mechanical work from time to time.

The following skills and experience are required to succeed in this role:

• Demonstrated skills in industrial electrical installations and maintenance
• Proven experience in a diagnostics, fault finding and rectification
• Successful candidate must pass a pre-employment medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test

• Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to safety including risk management
• Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-faceted team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised

• Current QLD Electrical Licence or equivalent.
• Demonstrated effective/natural communication skills
• Availability for shiftwork (including night, weekend) and overtime
• Experience with PLC’s/VSD’s/HMI’s, ASi systems and SCADA systems (Ignition)
• Current drivers licence
