About the Role

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer – Renewables to join our Melbourne team to support the end-to-end technical delivery of Solar PV, battery storage (BESS), EV charging and associated electrical projects, including design, pricing and bid preparation. This full-time role engages closely with both internal teams and clients across all project stages — from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning — ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design Solar PV, BESS and EV charging systems (kW–MW), including SLDs/schematics, sizing, and electrical calculations to relevant Australian Standards.

• Manage grid connection activities, including DNSP applications/approvals and liaison with utilities and consultants.

• Complete performance modelling and yield analysis (e.g. PVsyst or equivalent), including optimisation and degradation/shading inputs.

• Produce and review technical documentation (design packs, schedules, commissioning plans, as-builts).

• Provide engineering support through construction to commissioning (RFIs, site queries, compliance checks, testing support).

• Support estimating, pricing and bid preparation; identify and communicate technical risks and support variations.

• Maintain strong safety and quality outcomes in line with QA Electrical expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent)

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in engineering

• Drivers Licence (required)

• CEC accreditation (designer preferred)

• Proven experience across: commercial/industrial solar and grid-connected systems

• High-quality communication skills and confidence working with diverse stakeholders (internal and external)

• Demonstrated ability to self-manage workload, deadlines, quality and budgets
