Play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmacy services by supporting pharmacists and the pharmacy team to provide efficient, patient-focused pharmaceutical care across Cairns Hospital and associated facilities.

About us: 

The Pharmacy Service at Cairns Hospital provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current services provided include: outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas of Cairns Hospital, clinical trials, and educational services. The Pharmacy at Cairns Hospital also provides operational management to the pharmacy teams at Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and Mossman.

About your role:

In this position you will…..

• Perform warehouse functions including replenishing stock on shelves including unpacking original outer onto shelves, ensuring practices of stock rotation to enable shortest "use by" dates are used first.
• Assist with cyclical stock takes for all inventory product groups.
• Replenish imprest drugs to the wards and clinics according to departmental procedures using iPharmacy and common office application systems including handheld scanning devices.
