Medical Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Brighton Medical Clinic.

This is not just a standard reception role - it’s a key front-of-house position suited to someone who takes pride in patient experience, enjoys a busy environment, and values being part of a supportive, well-run clinic with a positive team culture and a bit of fun along the way!

This part-time role requires availability across 3 days per week with the following set hours:

• Monday: 12:45pm – 5:00pm

• Wednesday: 12:00pm – 6:45pm

• Thursday: 7:45am – 4:15pm

• Friday: 9:30am - 6:15pm

What you'll be doing

• Warmly greeting patients and creating a positive first impression of the clinic

• Managing appointments and ensuring smooth daily workflow

• Handling patient enquiries with professionalism, care and efficiency

• Maintaining accurate patient records within our electronic medical system

• Processing payments and supporting billing processes

• Providing day-to-day administrative support to doctors and nurses

• Helping keep the front desk organised, calm and running efficiently

What we're looking for

• Familiarity with Zedmed electronic medical record system is high regarded

• Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry

• Minimum 1 year of medical reception experience is required

• CPR training or willing to get within first month

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm and friendly demeanour

• High attention to detail

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care

• A team player who is reliable, proactive and takes ownership of their role
