St Stanislaus’ College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Leader – Student Formation to join our College community and lead the development of student formation across the College.

About St Stanislaus’ College

St Stanislaus’ College is Australia’s only Vincentian College and the oldest continuing Catholic boarding school in the country.

Founded in 1867 and conducted since 1889 by the Congregation of the Mission’s priests and brothers, St Stanislaus’ has a proud Vincentian tradition and a strong commitment to forming young men who make a positive difference in society, particularly amongst those experiencing disadvantage.

With approximately 700 students from Years 7–12, including around 100 boarders, our College community is built around education, faith, service, community and opportunity.

The opportunity

Working closely with the Deputy Head of College – Vincentian Identity and Practice, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the College’s Student Formation program.

You will help create a vibrant and welcoming faith community through engaging formation, prayer and liturgical experiences, while providing opportunities for students to grow in their personal faith and understanding of the Vincentian charism.

Your role will include:

• Leading and supporting the sacramental, liturgical, ritual and prayer life of the College.

• Developing and implementing engaging faith formation programs and social justice initiatives.

• Working collaboratively with the Deputy Head of College, College Chaplain and Religious Education faculty.

• Supporting opportunities for students to explore and live out their faith through service and community engagement.

• Building positive relationships across the College, with parents, parish and the wider community.

• Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement across the College.

• Working flexibly across stages, faculties and times of the day to support the broader needs of the College.

About you

We are looking for someone who can bring energy, initiative and genuine passion for student formation to this important leadership role.

You will be:

• An experienced senior RE teacher with a strong commitment to Catholic education.

• Passionate about the mission and ethos of the Vincentian tradition.

• Experienced in, or capable of leading, the planning and implementation of faith formation and social justice programs.

• A confident and compassionate communicator who builds strong relationships with students, staff and families.

• Flexible, collaborative and enthusiastic about contributing to the life of the College.

• Highly capable in written and verbal communication, with strong IT literacy.

Essential requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.

• Hold current NESA teacher accreditation.

• Be an experienced senior RE teacher.
