About the role

As a result of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our WA team of 50+ staff. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and guide CMW Geosciences operations, strategic direction, and continued growth. You will bring an in-depth understanding of the WA market, along with proven leadership skills and the ability to drive high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WA business strategy and operations, driving growth, managing risk, and delivering regional objectives.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, profitability, and commercial decision-making.
• Provide strong leadership and people management, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and positive workplace culture.
• Drive business development and client engagement, building relationships, securing opportunities, and growing market presence.
• Champion safety, quality, and technical excellence, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and outstanding service delivery.

What You'll Need

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
• 10+ years' experience as a geotechnical professional + minimum 4 years' experience in management position within an engineering consultancy environment
• Proven leader with a strong track record of building, developing, and growing high-performing teams across a region.
• Strong understanding of the WA market, with demonstrated success in winning work and driving business growth.
• Commercially astute, with experience managing P&L performance, budgets, and business outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with flexibility to travel across WA as required.
