Lead Hand Landscaper

About the role

Replenish Landscaping PTY LTD is a small landscape gardening business that produces high quality work and cares for clients to improve quality of life.

We are looking for a Lead hand to work 4-5 days a week, leading onsite with the small team or working solo, building landscapes 3-4 days a week. You will be working in a 3 person all qualified company, with occasional casual workers 1-2 days a week in busy periods. 3-4 days a fortnight you will have more relaxed duties helping the maintenance of our old builds under the other lead hand (horticulturalist).

Days work will be versatile, rarely repeating from week to week. Work is almost entirely in house and varies from simple garden renovations, Timber Construction including Decks and Pergolas, Welding, Paving, Irrigation, Planting, Excavation, Retaining Walls, Stone works wet and dry stack, Fencing, Design Work, Machinery Use, Turf Works, Lawn Maintenance, Pruning, hedging, Weeding Etc. Large projects will be joint lead by the owner and the potential candidate. Hours are 8am-4pm with some flexibility to work earlier or later to suit your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Completion of Construction and Maintenance works

• Documenting hours of projects

• Collecting and ordering materials

• Keeping to budget

• Leading small team

• Cleaning and maintaining tools and machines

• Leading small jobs without guidance

• Helping the maintenance team or working solo on landscape construction

About you

• Landscape construction Cert III or Horticultural Cert III or equivalent trade certificate (or quality experience and skill with 6+ years in industry can be a replacement for qualifications)

• If Horticultural Cert, must have experience in landscape construction

• Good communication

• Problem solving

• Great attitude

• Interest in Construction and Horticulture

• Willingness to learn

• Honesty

• General fitness

• Trailer experience

• Machinery experience

• Must have or ability to obtain: Drivers licence, Working with vulnerable peoples check (as we work with the NDIS), White card, Asbestos awareness training, Silica awareness training
