About the role
The Conservation Officer - Recovery plays a pivotal role in the delivery of on-ground conservation activities, with a focus on the recovery program, including pest plant and animal management, threatened species and ecological process management. It assists with the coordination and monitoring of contracts and service providers and contributes to reporting and evaluation of conservation program outcomes, including work undertaken by contractors and field-based teams.
The position works collaboratively across teams and with partners, including Traditional Owners, government agencies, research organisations, and community groups, to support conservation outcomes in a landscape recovering from fire impacts.
