Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Dietician to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dietitian Grade 2 to join our Allied Health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services to patients across Latrobe Regional Health, supporting positive nutrition and health outcomes. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to patient care, service improvement, staff and student development, and quality initiatives while delivering person-centred nutrition care aligned with best practice standards.

The role of the Dietitian Grade 2 is to:

• Deliver comprehensive clinical dietetic services, including assessment, intervention, education, monitoring, and evaluation of nutrition care plans to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based nutrition management and contribute to patient-centred care planning and decision-making.
• Support and monitor food service operations, working closely with Catering Services to ensure patients receive appropriate therapeutic diets and nutritional supplementation.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research, policy development, and service evaluation activities to enhance dietetic practice and patient care.
• Provide education, supervision, and support to dietetic students, junior staff, Allied Health Assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, activity data, and professional standards while participating in ongoing professional development and departmental initiatives.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Qualified Dietitian with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) and eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status through Dietitians Australia.
• Demonstrated clinical dietetic experience within a hospital or large healthcare setting, with strong assessment and nutrition management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Able to work independently while also providing guidance, education, and support to junior staff and students.
• Committed to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care.
