As we continue to expand our Victorian dealership network, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our brand-new BYD Berwick dealership.

About the Role

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, the Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the dealership's sales team, driving commercial performance, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced automotive sales professional who enjoys developing high-performing teams, achieving sales targets, and contributing to the continued growth of one of Australia's fastest-growing EV brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Sales Team to achieve dealership sales targets and KPIs.

• Drive new vehicle sales performance while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.

• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales performance and implement improvement strategies.

• Recruit, onboard and develop high-performing sales consultants.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards and dealership processes.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales journey.

• Work closely with Finance & Insurance, Aftersales and Marketing teams to maximise business opportunities.

• Analyse sales reports, market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

• Prepare regular sales forecasts and management reports.

• Foster a positive, collaborative and performance-driven team culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' automotive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a Sales Management role.

• Proven experience leading high-performing automotive sales teams.

• Strong understanding of dealership operations and sales processes.

• Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.

• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance data and make informed decisions.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.

• Experience using dealership CRM systems and reporting tools.

• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Highly Regarded

• Previous BYD or other EV dealership experience.

• Experience managing a high-volume dealership.

• Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable mobility.
