About This Role
You will manage prisoner property and keep records accurate.You will work at the Metropolitan Remand Centre in Melbourne's west.You will help keep important prison processes safe, fair and orderly.You will gain valuable experience in a busy correctional setting.Ongoing, full-time role earning $62,104 - $79,753per year, plus super.
What You Will Do
As Justice Officer – Property, you will manage prisoner property services.
You will provide accurate information while keeping sensitive records secure.
You Will
manage prisoner property and property enquiries with carekeep accurate records and prepare routine reportswork with courts, police, lawyers and other servicescheck property claims and arrange property transfers between prisonssupport prison processes for bail, discharge, transfers and court appearances.
About You
No formal qualification is required for this role. You will need strong computer skills and an understanding of correctional work.
You Should Also Have
strong computer skills and confidence using computer systemsgood knowledge of relevant laws, policies and proceduresan understanding of correctional work and prison processesclear problem-solving skills with the ability to follow set processes.
