Sewer Worker

Service Stream’s Civil Sewer Division are currently seeking Civil Maintenance workers to join our team in Dandenong South to work on the South East Water Maintenance Contract. The successful candidate will join the team and help deliver outcomes for South East Water, across the Sewer network.
The job offered is on a full-time basis and is a perfect opportunity for someone to join a team of experienced workers. Gain and learn new skills working with a major service partner on a 5+5 year contract.

Nature of position:               Permanent, Full Time

Location:                               Dandenong, VIC

Reporting Line:                    Civil Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

In This Role You will be responsible for but not limit to:

• Ensuring all works are performed as directed in a safe and competent manner.

• Carry out labour tasks/ field work unsupervised including planned and preventative maintenance on the Sewer network.

• Undertake and participate in Confined Space Entry works, following all safety measures.

• Carry out Repairs/locating and other works on Sewer Manholes

• Digout and repair sewer pipes and mains by Hand or Mechanical

• Work on a Rotating Standby Roster

• Carry out over time to complete task and emergency works when needed including Weekend.

About you

To be successful in this role you would ideally possess the following.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Driver’s License

• MR License or willingness to acquire.

• White Card

• Desirable Tickets (Excavator operation, CSE, Working at Heights, First Aid Ticket & CPR)

Experiences

• Desirable Experience (Plumbing, Civil)

• Operating or working around Excavators

• Excavation Experience (Trenches, Shafts, Deep Excavation)

• Manual Labour/Physically fit
