Principal Level P3 - Hebersham Public School

Hebersham Public School is situated on Dharug land in Western Sydney and has a student enrolment of 510. The school fosters a culture of connectedness, inclusion, and belonging, where students, staff, parents, and the wider community collaborate to promote school excellence. The Positive Behaviour for Learning framework underpins academic success, positive wellbeing, and school engagement, encouraging students to be brave and follow the Pride Guide: be a learner, be respectful, and be safe. This school is supported by a strong and vibrant multicultural community, with 50% of students from language backgrounds other than English including 230 students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect. 20% of students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) is 153. The School Excellence Plan prioritises best practice in reading and numeracy, data-driven practices to ensure responsive teaching and delivering high-quality differentiated instruction, including support for students with additional needs and those identified as high potential and gifted learners. Hebersham Public School has a proud and successful history of implementing the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and is actively committed to advancing its practices in Visible Learning. The school offers four support classes, comprising three classes for Autistic students and one Intensive Learning Support (Mental Health) class. Hebersham Public School will soon open a public preschool and as a future approved early childhood education and care service, will operate under the National Quality Framework.

4. A strong commitment to fostering a child-safe environment, promoting a positive P-6 culture that integrates the new public preschool, enhancing transition-to-school practices, and building greater trust and confidence in public education. 

Classification Structure for Principals:

The Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award details the new principal classification structure based on complexity of schools which commenced in 2016. The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school’s RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P3 for 2026.
