Veterinary Nurse

Experienced Veterinary Nurse – Permanent Part-time Position Available

Our Practice:

For over 50 years, Penrith Veterinary Hospital has been caring for Penrith’s pets and their owners. Our experienced veterinarians and dedicated nursing team are committed to delivering high-quality veterinary care in a friendly, comprehensive, and affordable environment. With a team of 9 experienced veterinarians supported by almost 20 veterinary nurses, no two days are the same in our busy and dynamic hospital.

We are currently seeking a passionate and outgoing veterinary nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Animal care, handling, and hospital treatments.
• Maintaining hospital hygiene and cleanliness of surgical areas and equipment.
• Assisting with anaesthetics, surgery, and patient monitoring.
• Pre- and post-operative patient care.
• General nursing, blood collection and laboratory sample processing.
• Reception duties, delivering excellent care to patients and owners.

About You:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of previous clinical experience as a Veterinary Nurse.
• Available to work 2x days per week (Wednesday and Friday).
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communications skills.
• An enthusiastic, friendly, caring, and hardworking attitude.
