This means the role is not limited to one brand — you’ll work across all three labels, bringing each brand’s unique style and customer experience to life while supporting the overall performance of the concession.

ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

As a Casual Retail Assistant at Yarra Trail, Black Pepper & Marco Polo at David Jones Macarthur, you’ll be the friendly face representing three established Australian fashion brands within one concession.

You’ll move confidently across Yarra Trail, Black Pepper and Marco Polo, assisting customers with personalised styling and product recommendations, maintaining a high standard of presentation, replenishing stock and supporting sales across the entire pad.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys fashion, loves connecting with customers and can adapt their approach to suit different brands, customers and styling needs. Flexibility, energy, initiative and a great attitude are key.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Greet customers and provide warm, personalised service across Yarra Trail, Black Pepper and Marco Polo
• Work confidently across the one concession pad, supporting customers regardless of which brand they are shopping
• Provide styling advice and product recommendations based on each customer’s individual needs
• Develop an understanding of the different brand identities, product ranges and customer profiles
• Identify opportunities to introduce customers to other brands within the concession where appropriate
• Process sales through the David Jones point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organised and inviting concession across all three brands
• Replenish stock and ensure product is presented to the required brand and David Jones standards
• Assist with unpacking deliveries, processing stock and merchandising new product
• Support visual merchandising standards across Yarra Trail, Black Pepper and Marco Polo
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily sales targets and KPIs across the concession
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat visits
• Represent the brands professionally and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience

ABOUT YOU

• Has a genuine passion for fashion, styling and helping customers feel confident in what they wear
• Enjoys working across multiple fashion brands within one concession
• Can adapt their styling and customer approach between Yarra Trail, Black Pepper and Marco Polo
• Delivers exceptional customer service with a warm, confident and approachable attitude
• Is comfortable engaging with a wide range of customers and understanding their individual needs
• Enjoys working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Is organised, proactive and able to confidently move between customer service, stock and merchandising responsibilities
• Thrives in a fast-paced department store environment
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Works well independently while also contributing positively to the wider team
• Is flexible with availability, including weekends, late nights and public holidays
• Previous fashion or retail experience is highly regarded
