Early Childhood Educator

About the role
As an early childhood educator, you will support children’s learning, development, and daily care within a structured early childhood setting. You will contribute to a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes for all children.

Tasks and duties

• Provide attentive care and supervision to children in long day care and occasional care settings

• Facilitate children’s participation in play-based learning through reading, games, and interactive activities

• Assist with organising and implementing engaging educational and recreational experiences

• Promote positive behaviour by guiding social interactions and encouraging respectful communication

• Monitor children’s safety and wellbeing during both indoor and outdoor activities

• Support daily routines, including transitions between activities and rest periods

• Attend to children’s personal care needs, ensuring appropriate hygiene practices are maintained

Experience

·        At least 12 months of relevant work experience in an early childhood setting

Qualifications

·        Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
