Finance Manager

About the role

Join our small, close-knit team and play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of our business. We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Accounts & Finance Administrator who is confident working independently and managing a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping and financial administration responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

• Prepare monthly BAS and GST reports

• Liaise with external tax accountants and assist with accounting requirements

• Prepare monthly financial statements and financial reports for Directors

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legislation

• Manage the company's insurance policies, including Workers Compensation

• Oversee general financial administration

• Assist with audits and year-end financial requirements

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation

• Use MYOB and Simpro for accounting, job management and financial administration

About you

• Has strong bookkeeping and accounting experience

• Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

• Is confident working independently and taking initiative

• Has strong communication and organisational skills

• Understands BAS, GST, payroll and general financial compliance

• Is experienced with MYOB

• Experience with Simpro is highly desirable

• Has the ability to liaise professionally with external accountants, management and other stakeholders
