Chef - Souths Sports Club

Come and join our team as a full time Chef at Souths Sports Club (174 Mortimer Rd, Acacia Ridge QLD 4110).

The Chef reports to the Head Chef and plays a key role in delivering high-quality, creative dishes that enhance the overall guest experience. Working as part of a collaborative kitchen team, you will ensure food is prepared and presented to exceptional standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. A few of your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in line with menu standards, ensuring consistency in presentation and portion control.
• Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment.
• Assisting with menu development, seasonal offerings, and accommodating dietary requirements.
• Monitoring stock levels, managing inventory, and reducing waste through effective stock rotation practices.
• Providing guidance and support to junior kitchen staff while ensuring equipment is used and maintained correctly.
• Upholding all food safety, hygiene, and WH&S standards, and contributing to an exceptional guest dining experience.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant, club, or hospitality venue.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
• A keen eye for detail with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining high standards.
• A proactive approach to menu innovation and continuous improvement.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

The salary package for this position will range between $75,000 - $85,000.
