About the role
Cancer Council WA is Western Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of every cancer. We know that tackling cancer takes all of us. Together, we support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. With the help of the WA community, we’re getting closer to a future without cancer.
Following the retirement of our long-serving Director of Corporate Services, Cancer Council WA is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (Director Corporate Services) to join our Executive Leadership Team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across the Corporate Services Division, overseeing finance, information technology, people and culture, facilities, asset management, risk and compliance.
As a trusted adviser to the CEO and Board, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial sustainability, strong corporate governance, contemporary people practices, secure and effective technology, and efficient facilities that support the organisation's purpose and strategic priorities.
This role is critical to driving organisational performance, enabling informed decision-making, and ensuring our resources, systems and infrastructure are positioned for long-term success.
This is a full-time position based in Subiaco.
You are a commercially astute and values-driven executive with extensive experience leading finance and corporate services functions within a complex organisation. You combine strategic thinking, sound judgement and strong leadership with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at Board and executive levels.
