Print Assistant/Offsider (Cartons)

About the opportunity: 

An exciting opportunity is available for a Printer Assistant/Offsider to join our Arndell Park, NSW site on afternoon shift. Reporting to the Operations/Production Manager, you will be an integral member of the Production team.  

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Have an eye for detail when assisting with printing label products which have tight quality specifications 

• Work flexibly, the Assistant Printer performs a wide wage of duties including machine set-up, make job ready, ink preparation and general housekeeping, providing support to the printer  

• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures  

• Form a trusting bond with the printers and communicate effectively across multiple work groups 

• Support minor maintenance tasks and trouble shooting. 

• Perform ad hoc tasks and duties that may be advised by the printer, supervisor or management for operational needs or work area.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

• Ideally, experience working with any flexographic printing would be advantageous  

• Experience in a manufacturing setting would be ideal   

• Must be able to work autonomously and take initiative 

• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
