Demi Chef - In Room Dining

Join the culinary team at Shangri-La Sydney as a Full Time Demi Chef within our In Room Dining Kitchen.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated chef to showcase their skills in a luxury hotel environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while working alongside a talented and supportive culinary team.

As a Demi Chef, you will play an important role in the daily operations of the kitchen by:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes for In Room Dining and Breakfast service
• Assisting in the development of creative menus and new dishes
• Ensuring all food is prepared and presented in line with Shangri-La Sydney standards and procedures
• Supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining quality across all service periods
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and reporting repair or maintenance requirements to the Chef de Partie
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery
• Full Australian working rights
• Previous experience within a hotel, restaurant or similar fast-paced kitchen environment
• A genuine passion for food, presentation and guest experience
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude
• The ability to thrive in a busy service environment
