$74,139 - $80,321 per annum (pro rata)

About the role

The Research Assistant assists the Congress Research team to engage the community in research activities. This position has a particular focus on recruiting participants and collecting research data, as well as supporting the research team with other tasks as needed.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

• Be of Aboriginal descent; identify as an Aboriginal person; and are accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
• Certificate-level qualification (or working towards) in a relevant discipline (e.g. health science, community service, social science or public health) or relevant experience
• Demonstrated work or voluntary experience in a relevant field
• Willingness to learn research skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with other ethical requirements
• General computer literacy, including basic typing, email and word processing skills
• Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations and to safely move boxes up to 16kg weight
