Astley's Building Supplies is a proudly local business and part of the Maas Group, supplying quality building materials and exceptional service to trade, commercial and residential customers across the Central West.

We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Assistant to support our Finance and Administration team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of our Dubbo branch.

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, this hands-on role will provide administrative, accounts and customer service support across the business. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, operational teams and the broader Maas Group finance function to ensure processes are completed accurately and efficiently. 

• Provide general administrative support across all areas of the business. 
• Prepare correspondence, emails, reports and business documentation. 
• Deliver professional and high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Process documents and undertake accurate data entry. 
• Manage Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and supplier enquiries. 
• Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, customer invoicing, receipting and account reconciliations. 
• Complete bank reconciliations and support end-of-month reporting activities. 
• Work collaboratively with the finance team and wider business to meet deadlines and operational requirements. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous administration, accounts or office support experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems. 
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
• Strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
• A proactive, team-oriented and organised approach to work.
