Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators for detailed excavation, bulk earthworks, demolition, and material handling
• Conduct pre-start inspections and daily safety checks, including fluid levels, greasing, lubrication, and defect reporting
• Work collaboratively with ground crews to deliver excavation, demolition, stockpiling, and truck loading in line with WHS requirements
• Assess work areas prior to commencement, identifying hazards, soil conditions, access constraints, and material placement zones
• Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, cleaned daily, securely stored, and maintained to company standards
• Monitor truck loading to ensure compliance with weight requirements and verify dockets with drivers
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site managers, responding promptly to instructions and reporting issues
• Maintain accurate daily records and site documentation as required

Essential Requirements

• Valid Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• Relevant excavator operator tickets/licences
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating excavators on civil and demolition projects within Australia
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently when required
• Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
