About the role
Narrabeen Lakes Public School, with a vibrant student community of 353 students, including 10 Aboriginal students, is a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary, with the demonstrated capacity to balance exemplary classroom practice and complex leadership and management roles of an Assistant Principal within a medium size school.
Demonstrated ability to mentor, support and build the capacity of experienced and early career teachers in a culture of continuous improvement, expert curriculum knowledge, and high expectations, to drive improved student outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership in educational technology integration with proven experience in leading the integration of technology into teaching and learning practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
An approachable and visible leader with a strong commitment to enhancing positive wellbeing, equity and diversity through addressing the social, emotional and cultural needs of students, staff and families, showcasing the ability to respectfully foster a positive, inclusive whole school community.
