Disability Support Worker

Job description:

Join Our Team – Casual Support Workers able to work both daytime and evening hours. Some weekend work may be required.

OdysseyCare is looking for a support worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and grooming.

✔ Support with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication management, and household duties.

✔ Assist in community participation and social activities.

✔ Implement and follow individualised care plans and behavior support strategies.

✔ Monitor and report on participants’ progress and well-being.

✔ Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with NDIS requirements.

✔ Ensure a safe, respectful, and person-centered approach to support.

Requirements:

✔ Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written) are required.

✔ Previous experience supporting complex participants (highly regarded).

✔ A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.

✔ A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

✔ A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

✔ Ability to work independently and within a team.

✔ Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
