Sales Consultant

The Role:

We're excited to be opening a brand-new showroom in Fortitude Valley in September/October! We are seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to join us.

We're looking for a people-first Sales Consultant who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences. In this role, you'll be the face of Icon By Design in our showroom, welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through their furniture selection journey.

You'll play a key role in creating a warm, engaging environment for every visitor, ensuring they leave feeling supported and confident in their purchase. This is a hands-on sales role where building genuine connections, sharing product knowledge, and helping customers find the perfect piece are at the heart of what you do.

As Sales Consultant your main responsibilities are:

• To ensure that every interaction that customers have with Icon By Design is excellent.

• Drive sales by engaging with customers, understanding their needs and recommending appropriate services and products.

• Achieving sales targets.

• Greet and assist every customer and help them select and purchase products in the store.

• Acquire the necessary sales and product knowledge regarding our company and our products to enable you to advise customers with their product purchases and customer service enquiries.

• Learn to use our business systems to conduct the sales and customer service activities effectively.

• Respond to customer enquiries in store, phone, email, chat and our ticketing system.

• Sales and customer service skills to effectively engage and serve customers, while building long-term relationships and customer loyalty.

• Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your role.

• A strong team player with a can-do attitude – focused on finding solutions and contributing positively to the team.

• A love of people as manifested in your willingness to engage with our customers to tell the stories associated with our five brand pillars: timelessness; craftsmanship; affordability; sustainability and customer contentment.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• 3 years of customer service/retail experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills

• The ability to work alone and to take initiative

• A strong team player and can-do attitude

• A desire to grow and improve

• Casual availability (Both weekend days)

It's a bonus if you have:

• A background in interior design

• A passion for interior design
