E&I Technicians | 6-Month Project | Backfill

FIFO | Ongoing Project | Day Shifts Only 

Mergent Group is currently seeking experienced E&I Technicians to join a stable, ongoing backfill team supporting key capital sustainment projects at Prominent Hill, South Australia. 

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing FIFO work on a major mining operation, working alongside a high-performing team delivering critical Electrical & Instrumentation project works in a safe and professional environment. 

With competitive rates, penalty rates, day shifts only, and project work expected through to October 2026, this role offers strong earning potential and ongoing project stability.

About the Role: 

You will be part of a dedicated backfill team supporting capital sustainment E&I works across site. The role will involve a range of Electrical & Instrumentation activities supporting ongoing operations, maintenance, and project execution within a large-scale mining environment. 

This opportunity is ideal for experienced E&I professionals looking for stable FIFO project work with excellent site conditions and strong team culture. 

About You: 

• Previous experience as an E&I Technician within mining, construction, commissioning, or heavy industry  

• SA Electrical Workers Licence (or willingness for mutual recognition) 

• Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation 

• National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain during recruitment process) 

• CPR/LVR (within last 12 months) 

• White Card 

• Drivers license 

• Working at Heights (desirable) 

• EWP (desirable) 

• Able to pass a full pre-employment medical + drug and alcohol testing
