Cafe Restaurant Manager

H2O Cafe Restaurant is a busy and established waterfront café restaurant located in Narrabeen on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We operate 7 days a week across breakfast, lunch and dinner services.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and hands-on Café Restaurant Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue.

Weekend availability is essential for this role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leads by example and can confidently manage a busy café restaurant environment while maintaining excellent customer service and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day front-of-house operations
• Lead, supervise and support the FOH team during service
• Confidently manage busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
• Prepare and manage staff rosters
• Recruit, train and develop team members
• Maintain high standards of customer service
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally
• Manage reservations, group bookings and functions
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and management team
• Assist with stock control and ordering
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness and service standards
• Monitor labour costs and support efficient venue operations
• Ensure RSA, food safety and workplace procedures are followed

About You

• Previous café or restaurant management experience is essential
• Weekend availability is essential
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confident managing busy services and leading a FOH team
• Hands-on and willing to work alongside the team during service
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Experience with staff rostering and training
• Current NSW RSA or ability to obtain one
• Full working rights in Australia

Experience with POS systems, reservation platforms, functions and events will be highly regarded.

• $80,000–$90,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
