Based at Rockhampton Hospital, our expanding Cardiac Services team operates within a highly sophisticated, multidisciplinary model encompassing advanced diagnostic, procedural, and inpatient care. About the role:
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across the preadmission, procedural, and recovery phases of cardiac procedures. Perform continuous hemodynamic and cardiac rhythm monitoring, ensuring accurate documentation and timely clinical escalation. Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Administer cardiovascular medications and contrast agents safely in accordance with scope of practice and clinical guidelines. Educate patients and families regarding procedural expectations, post-care recovery, and ongoing cardiac health.
About you:
You hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA. You bring a sound understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and the principles of infection prevention and radiation safety. You demonstrate accountability for your own competence, utilizing reflective practice to continuously enhance your clinical care. You possess strong collaborative skills, actively contributing to a positive team culture built on mutual respect and open communication. You are committed to quality processes, patient safety frameworks, and evidence-based clinical improvement.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $127,861 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
