About the Role
As Leader of Learning – Mathematics, you will provide educational leadership through curriculum innovation, instructional coaching and strategic departmental management. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring teaching, assessment and curriculum are evidence-informed, contemporary and aligned with College priorities.
You will also continue to teach, modelling exemplary classroom practice while supporting colleagues to refine their pedagogy and maximise student learning.
This is a full-time, permanent teaching position with a fixed term Promotional Position.
This role will have a Mathematics teaching load.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a cohesive, high-performing Mathematics team.
Drive curriculum planning, assessment and moderation across Years 7–12.
Build teacher capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
Analyse student achievement data to inform improvement strategies.
Lead QCAA curriculum implementation, endorsement, confirmation and reporting processes.
Contribute to whole-school curriculum initiatives and strategic priorities.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will possess:
Demonstrated capacity as an outstanding Mathematics educator with experience teaching across Middle and Senior School.
Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, QCAA senior syllabuses and contemporary assessment practices.
The ability to analyse student achievement data and translate insights into strategies that improve learning outcomes.
Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with the capacity to build strong relationships across the College community.
A commitment to evidence-informed pedagogy, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
Queensland teacher registration and a genuine commitment to the Anglican ethos and child-safe culture of West Moreton Anglican College.
