Demi Chef

Join our team as a Full time  Demi Chef and help bring exceptional dining experiences to life. Preparing dishes across our a la carte menu, with a focus on Riverside Kitchen service, you'll deliver quality, flavor, and presentation in every plate. You'll also support smooth kitchen operations by maintaining high standards of hygiene, organization, and stock control. With your attention to detail and passion for food, you'll help create memorable moments for every guest.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds creating Al a Carte dining options.
• Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment and waste.
• Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback - recognize good performance.
• Being cleaner than clean to meet or exceed HACCP requirements.
• Helping with washing up and other kitchen duties where needed.
• Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player.

 What we need from you:

• Similar experience in a commercial kitchen ideally in a Hotel environment
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef; supervisory experience is an advantage
• Right to legally work full time in Australia 
• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts
• Food safety Certification
• Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to 
• Flexibility – night, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
