Solution Architect – Data, Analytics & AI | Canberra | NV1

Cognitio Digital is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a Defence customer delivering enterprise data, analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities in a secure, mission-critical environment.This senior advisory and technical leadership role will influence strategy, define architecture, guide implementation and help embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
What you will do:Lead stakeholder engagementEngage with senior leaders, ICT specialists and business stakeholders.Align business objectives, data strategy, AI initiatives and technology delivery.Translate complex technical concepts into practical recommendations and clear outcomes.Provide technical leadershipShape enterprise data, analytics and AI strategies.Guide technology roadmaps, capability uplift and practical innovation.Act as a trusted adviser across modern data platforms, AI and machine learning technologies.Drive architecture and integrationDesign enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.Lead integration across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.Develop reusable architecture patterns for data, AI and machine learning solutions.Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and enterprise architecture requirements.Apply practical AI and machine learning expertiseApply MLOps, model governance and AI assurance practices.Balance innovation with security, reliability and business value.Design scalable data pipelines and machine learning solutions.Advise on AI integration, tooling and the operationalisation of AI capabilities.Strengthen governance and sustainable deliveryDevelop practical data, AI and architecture governance frameworks.Promote continuous improvement and modern engineering practices.Establish standards, operating models and delivery practices that support lasting capability.Essential requirementsCurrent NV1 security clearance.Systems integration experience.Enterprise data and analytics architecture experience.Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning and MLOps.Executive stakeholder engagement and advisory capability.Experience delivering outcomes in Defence, government or another highly regulated environment.
