🚨 NEW CONTRACT | BUSINESS TECHNICAL ANALYST | SYDNEY
QIX Consulting is currently seeking an experienced Business Technical Analyst for an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend, based in Sydney.This is a great opportunity for someone who sits comfortably between business analysis and technology – someone who can engage stakeholders, understand the business problem, translate requirements into technical solutions, and work closely with development teams through delivery.

The RoleYou’ll work across business and technical teams to analyse requirements, systems, data and integrations, helping design and deliver practical technology solutions.Your responsibilities will include:• Engaging stakeholders and facilitating requirements workshops• Translating business requirements into technical specifications, user stories and solution designs• Analysing business processes, data flows and system interactions• Working closely with development teams throughout delivery• Supporting solutions leveraging Microsoft .NET, SQL Server and APIs• Performing data analysis, extraction and validation• Creating and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects• Supporting integrations using RESTful APIs and web services• Analysing application architectures, database structures and data models• Troubleshooting complex business and technical issues and performing root cause analysis• Producing process flows, solution designs, data mappings and technical documentation• Supporting testing, defect triage, UAT and production deployments• Identifying technical risks, dependencies and constraints
What We're Looking ForYou’ll ideally bring:✔ Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Business Technical Analyst✔ Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies and SQL Server✔ Advanced SQL querying and data analysis capability✔ Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures and data modelling✔ Experience designing, consuming or supporting APIs and system integrations✔ Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications✔ Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills✔ Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability✔ Experience working within Agile, DevOps or hybrid delivery environments
This role will suit someone who is technically strong but equally comfortable working directly with the business – you can understand the problem, interrogate the data and systems, and communicate effectively with both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
