Potential team members can view a full-length commercial of the premises and surrounds on YouTube to gain a better sense of the environment and facilities.Role Description The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a full time, on-site role based at Lasseters in Alice Springs, NT, supporting the efficient operation, safety, and presentation of the entire property. This role assists in planning and coordinating maintenance activities across hotel, entertainment, and casino areas, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of building systems, equipment, and facilities. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance team members, allocating tasks, monitoring work quality, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Maintenance Manager collaborates with other departments to address maintenance requests, minimize downtime, manage contractors, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and guest experiences. The role also involves maintaining records, supporting budget and inventory control for maintenance supplies, and reporting to the Maintenance Manager on operational status and priorities.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead maintenance staff, coordinate schedules, and support performance management.Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to troubleshoot, service, and repair building systems, machinery, and fixtures.Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management skills to plan, implement, and monitor regular maintenance programs and workflows.Relevant experience in facilities or property maintenance within hospitality, entertainment, or similar environments is highly beneficial.Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment for team members and guests.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and responsiveness to operational needs.Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or evenings as required, and to respond to urgent maintenance issues on-site.Trade qualification or technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building services) is desirable.
