Storeperson - Steel Industry

Southern Steel Supplies Pty Ltd, part of the Southern Steel Group—Australia’s largest privately-owned steel distributor—is a dynamic leader in the steel industry, offering a comprehensive steel distribution service throughout NSW.

We are seeking a Storeperson to join our team. This full-time, permanent role primarily works the day shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) and afternoon shift (2:30PM-10:30PM) You’ll be part of a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling steel products safely and efficiently.

Please note: This position may require you to rotate between day and afternoon shifts as required. All relevant loadings and allowances will be included.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a warehousing or similar industry

• Knowledge of the steel industry and/or overhead crane experience (preferred but not essential)

• A forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

• Good communication skills

• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn

What you'll be doing

• Handle, pick, unload, and stack steel materials efficiently and safely

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if required)

• Assist with general warehouse operations and distribution tasks

• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies at all times

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency
