The Position

Southwell Lifts & Hoists is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Hand to join our growing team at our Narellan NSW facility.

This is a hands-on role that combines general factory and yard duties. We're looking for someone with a forklift licence who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workplace, and is happy to assist across multiple areas of the business.

You'll play an important role supporting our workshop team by moving materials and equipment around the factory and yard, helping with paint preparation, and providing general support where required.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Forklift licence (essential)

• Ability to work under the direction of a supervisor

• Strong attention to detail

• A positive, reliable and can-do attitude

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• General factory and workshop duties

• General yard duties, including moving materials and equipment

• Assist with paint preparation for workshop projects

• Learn to operate the laser blaster (subject to successful implementation)

• Support the workshop team with general labouring tasks as required

• Maintain tools and equipment

• Complete job documentation and paperwork accurately

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment

• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

• Ensure work complies with project specifications

• Perform other duties as directed
