MAINTENANCE FITTER / FITTER & TURNER

RPR Trades is seeking a trade qualified Maintenance Fitter / Fitter & Turner to join the Maintenance team of a busy Australian-owned steel manufacturing business supporting the construction industry.

This is a hands-on maintenance role in a fast-paced production environment, suited to someone who can think ahead, solve problems and keep plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The role includes:
• Maintenance, overhaul and repair of machinery and equipment
• Preventative maintenance and breakdown response
• Hydraulic and pneumatic work
• Fault finding and problem-solving
• Welding and thermal cutting tasks
• Accurate reporting, paperwork and maintenance records
• Supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime

Essential:
• Certificate III in Fitting and Turning or equivalent Mechanical trade qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and basic computer skills

Advantageous:
• Forklift Licence
• EWP under 11 metres
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Welding and thermal cutting experience

Hours:
Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 2:10pm
Friday 6:00am – 12:00pm
