across multiple service areas throughout New South Wales.

About the Roles

These roles involve delivering compassionate, person-centred supports to individuals with varying support needs, identities, and life experiences across home care, disability, mental health, aged care, and community settings.

Successful applicants may provide support within participants’ homes, supported accommodation settings, hospitals, clinics, or community-based environments depending on qualifications and experience.

Flexible casual opportunities are available, including weekday, evening, weekend, overnight, and public holiday shifts.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Support Work, Disability & Community Care

• Deliver person-centred supports aligned with participant goals and care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living and independent living skills
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement
• Support participants with community access, appointments, transport, and recreational activities
• Promote participant dignity, autonomy, inclusion, and wellbeing
• Provide trauma-informed and culturally safe supports
• Support individuals living with psychosocial disabilities and mental health challenges

LGBTQIA+ Community Support

• Provide safe, affirming, and inclusive supports for LGBTQIA+ participants
• Respect participants’ identities, pronouns, lived experiences, and chosen families
• Support community engagement, social connection, and emotional wellbeing
• Advocate for inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory support practices
• Promote safe spaces that encourage self-expression, dignity, and empowerment

Personal Care & Domestic Assistance

• Assist with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, hydration, and medication prompts
• Perform household cleaning, laundry, linen changes, and general domestic duties
• Maintain safe, clean, and comfortable home environments

Nursing Responsibilities (AIN / EN / RN / NP)

Depending on qualifications, scope of practice, and registration level, nursing duties may include:

• Conducting health and wellbeing assessments
• Medication administration and management
• Wound care and clinical observations
• Chronic disease management and health monitoring
• Catheter care, PEG feeding, and continence support
• Development and review of care plans
• Clinical documentation and incident reporting
• Liaising with allied health professionals, GPs, hospitals, and support coordinators
• Providing health education and participant advocacy
• Supporting complex care participants within home and community settings
• Delivering holistic and evidence-based nursing care
• Nurse Practitioner applicants may also support advanced assessments, care coordination, and specialised clinical interventions within scope of practice

Documentation & Professional Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and clinical documentation
• Follow organisational policies, NDIS Practice Standards, and safeguarding requirements
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, multidisciplinary teams, and coordinators
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice standards at all times

Essential Requirements

For Support Workers / LGBTQIA+ Community Support Workers / AINs

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Reliable and insured vehicle preferred
• Full working rights in Australia

For EN / RN / NP Applicants

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Relevant nursing qualifications
• Current clinical competencies relevant to role
• National Police Check (if required)

Desirable Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health, Community Services, or related field
• Experience working within NDIS, aged care, community care, or mental health sectors
• Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours or high support needs
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, positive behaviour support, and person-centred care
• LGBTQIA+ awareness, lived experience, or inclusive practice knowledge
• Medication administration training
• Manual handling training
• Experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays
• Experience with progress notes, incident reporting, and electronic documentation systems
