Strategic Account Lead

The opportunity

Before You Dig Australia (BYDA) is looking for an experienced Strategic Account Lead to help shape the future performance of our national referral platform, the BYDA Digital Utility Portal (BDUP).

This is not a traditional account management role. Rather than managing a broad customer portfolio, you’ll focus on BYDA’s most strategically important members and users, organisations whose behaviour has the greatest impact on platform performance, data quality and industry outcomes.

Working closely with BYDA’s leadership team and senior stakeholders across Australia’s largest infrastructure and utility organisations, you’ll analyse platform performance, solve complex operational challenges, influence behavioural change and help members and industry maximise the value of BDUP.

Key responsibilities

• Work with BYDA’s most significant members to improve platform adoption, data quality and operational performance.
• Use data and insights to identify opportunities and improve platform adoption and data quality.
• Influence senior stakeholders to improve behaviours, processes and use of the BDUP platform.
• Resolve complex member issues by identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions.
• Drive adoption of new platform capabilities and best practice ways of working.
• Identify opportunities to improve system integration and automation.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve platform issues and improve the member experience.
• Build trusted relationships with key members and industry to position BYDA as a valued strategic partner.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines commercial credibility with strong analytical thinking and exceptional stakeholder management.

You’ll bring:

• Experience managing strategic or enterprise accounts within a complex environment.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive meaningful outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to guide decisions.
• A consultative approach with a focus on behavioural change and continuous improvement.
• Experience improving processes, platform adoption or operational performance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and deliver results.
• Experience with technology platforms, SaaS or digital products.
• Exposure to infrastructure, utilities or construction will be highly regarded.
