Senior Transaction Manager - Retail (12-month fixed-term)

What this opportunity involves:

We're looking for a Retail Transaction Manager to deliver leasing, renewal, relocation and market review outcomes across a critical NSW/ACT retail network. This is a hands-on role within an established national team, offering direct exposure to fast-paced, operationally significant transaction management.

You will manage end-to-end transactions across the NSW/ACT retail portfolio, ensuring lease events are identified, planned and progressed on time. From site searches and option analysis to renewals, relocations and market rent reviews, you'll coordinate cross-functional inputs and engage confidently with landlords, agents and client stakeholders to deliver commercially sound outcomes.

The successful candidate will be based on-site 3 days a week at our client’s Surry Hills office.

Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term contract with possibility of an extension or conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver leasing, renewals, relocations and market rent reviews across the NSW/ACT portfolio

• Proactively manage critical dates and upcoming lease events to strict timeframes

• Conduct site inspections and prepare clear option analysis and recommendations

• Prepare high-quality submissions for internal and client approvals

• Engage with landlords, agents and internal teams to negotiate transaction outcomes

• Coordinate inputs from property management, lease administration, legal and finance

• Support preparation and execution of lease documentation with paralegals and legal counsel

• Manage make-good obligations and incentive processes through to completion

• Provide regular, accurate reporting on transaction status, risks and upcoming decisions

• Maintain data integrity and governance across the portfolio and system

Key Skills & Requirements

• Current NSW real estate licence or certificate of registration (mandatory)

• Proven experience in retail leasing, property or transaction management

• Strong understanding of leasing processes, critical dates and commercial documentation

• Proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment

• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage landlords, agents and client stakeholders

• Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to data accuracy and compliance

• Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across multiple functions

• Proficiency with property systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office
