About the role

Port Adelaide Construction is seeking experienced pipe welders to join our dynamic team. Based in Largs Bay, South Australia, this full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in the construction and maintenance of a variety of piping systems.

What you'll be doing

• Performing high-quality pipe welding in accordance with industry standards and project specifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans to ensure accurate workmanship

• Collaborating with the project team to deliver piping installations and repairs within agreed timelines

• Adhering to strict health, safety and quality control procedures

• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior welders as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a pipe welder, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industries

• Strong working knowledge of welding techniques, including TIG, MIG and stick welding

• Proficiency in all three welding techniques (TIG, MIG, and stick welding) is essential for this role

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Familiarity with quality control processes and safety protocols

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Trade qualification in welding is required
