About the Role

IBE Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Labourer to join our team on a casual basis for projects in Kakadu, NT. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to civil construction and infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

This hands-on role requires physical capability, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Successful applicants will be rewarded with competitive hourly rates ranging from $40–$45per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant tickets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with site preparation, excavation, and groundworks for civil construction projects.

• Operating and maintaining basic construction tools and equipment under supervision.

• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment around the worksite.

• Assisting qualified operators and tradespeople with civil construction activities.

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment, including site housekeeping and waste management.

• Following all health and safety procedures and reporting hazards or incidents immediately.

• Supporting site activities such as surveying, marking out, and setting works.

• Working to project schedules and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Mandatory Requirements

• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in remote outdoor environments.

Desirable Requirements

Previous civil construction, earthworks, road construction, or general labouring experience.

• Additional plant and equipment tickets, including but not limited to:

• Excavator

• Loader

• Roller

• Skid Steer

• Water Cart

• HR/HC/MC Truck Licence

• Traffic Management Tickets

• Experience working in remote locations.

• Ability to operate multiple pieces of plant and equipment.
