We have multiple opportunities for qualified Trade Assistants, to join Hawk Logistics in one of its Adelaide based workshops.

Hawk Logistics is a privately owned transport and logistics company specializing in refrigerated freight. Beginning in 2011 with one truck the business has grown rapidly to provide logistic services to some of Australia’s largest food and beverage manufacturers across the eastern seaboard with more than 600 vehicles and 300 employees.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles and workshop equipment.

• Performing general mechanical workshop duties under the direction of qualified mechanics and the Workshop Manager.

• Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and appropriately.

• Assisting with vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance and general workshop checks.

• Keeping accurate records of service and repairs.
   

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience working around trucks, heavy vehicles, trailers or mobile plant is highly regarded.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and a genuine interest in developing a career in heavy vehicle maintenance.

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and general workshop equipment.

• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to safely follow instructions and work under the direction of qualified mechanics and supervisors.

• Current forklift license desired. 

• HR license desired.
