IFS Consultant

About the Role

PSD Energy is seeking an experienced IFS Consultant to join our Information Technology team.

This role is responsible for the ongoing development, configuration and maintenance of PSD Energy’s IFS Enterprise Resource Planning system. You will play a key role in ensuring the system remains aligned with business needs, supports operational efficiency and continues to evolve as the organisation grows.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, external partners and functional leads, you will support system performance, manage enhancements, maintain data integrity and provide practical solutions that improve business processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, configuring, testing and deploying IFS solutions across various modules
• Developing specifications for system enhancements, customisations and integrations
• Participating in system updates and new module implementation
• Monitoring system functionality and resolving technical and user issues
• Maintaining user access controls, permissions and security settings
• Supporting internal teams with system-related troubleshooting
• Engaging with departments to gather business requirements and recommend system improvements
• Providing training and support to end users
• Documenting system processes, procedures, configurations, workflows and testing outcomes
• Identifying and implementing system enhancements and automation opportunities
• Staying informed on IFS developments and Enterprise Resource Planning best practices
• Ensuring system changes and configurations meet internal quality management standards
• Participating in internal and external audits
• Contributing to continuous improvement across systems, workflows and business processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.

You will ideally have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Systems or a related discipline
• Experience in an IFS Consultant, Enterprise Resource Planning Consultant or Enterprise Resource Planning Analyst role
• Sound knowledge of core IFS modules, including Finance, Projects, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources and Maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into practical system solutions
• Experience supporting system configuration, testing, deployment and troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and train end users
• A strong focus on data integrity, system governance, security and continuous improvement

Desirable Experience

The following will be highly regarded:

• IFS or Enterprise Resource Planning certifications
• Experience with IFS Cloud
• Experience with application programming interfaces and integration platforms
• Familiarity with Structured Query Language and data reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Power Business Intelligence
• Background in the energy, construction or engineering sectors
