Senior Event Planner

About the Role
Showtime Event Group is seeking an experienced Senior Event Planner to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional events for our diverse client base. As a Senior Event Planner, you will leverage your extensive experience in the hospitality and events management industry to oversee the planning and execution of high-profile corporate, social and private events.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and translate their vision into seamless, memorable experiences.

• Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, vendor coordination, logistics, and onsite event supervision.

• Develop high-performing direct reports by providing guidance and practical support grounded in proven best practices.

• Continually seek opportunities to enhance processes and implement innovative ideas to improve event delivery.

• Maintain strong relationships with a network of trusted vendors and suppliers to secure the best services and resources.

About You:
You bring a warm, friendly energy and feel at ease speaking with people over the phone. Building rapport quickly comes naturally to you, you’re an excellent communicator, especially over email. You’re organised, proactive, and calm under pressure. When things change, you adapt and find solutions rather than problems. As a senior member of the team, you provide guidance, constructive feedback, and day‑to‑day support to your direct reports. You model professionalism, set clear expectations, and enjoy developing others to help them perform at their best.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an event planner delivering a diverse range of corporate, social and private events.

• Minimum 12 months’ experience leading and managing a team.

• Outstanding event management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, management, and external suppliers

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a solutions-oriented mindset

• Familiarity with event management software and tools, Tripleseat knowledge is an advantage.

• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

• Current Working with Children Check (required).

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (required).
