About the role
Overview:
At Costa, we're focused on helping feed a growing population through innovation, sustainability and world-class fresh produce. As Australia's leading grower, packer and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables, we combine scientific knowledge, practical farming expertise and continuous improvement to grow premium produce enjoyed by customers across Australia and around the world.
Costa's Citrus & Grapes business is committed to producing healthy, high-performing crops while continually improving fruit quality, productivity and environmental sustainability. Agronomy plays a critical role in achieving these outcomes through informed decision-making, innovation and a deep understanding of crop performance across diverse growing environments.
We are seeking a motivated graduate to join our Citrus & Grapes team in Sunraysia, Victoria.
Home to some of Australia's most productive citrus and table grape operations, the Sunraysia region provides an outstanding environment to launch your agronomy career. Working across three farms within the region, you'll gain insight into multiple growing environments, production systems and agronomic challenges across both citrus and table grape operations, accelerating your technical development while building a strong foundation in commercial agronomy.
This is a permanent full-time graduate opportunity where you'll combine structured development with practical experience across crop production, irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease management, agronomic trials and continuous improvement activities.
Working alongside experienced agronomists, farm managers and technical specialists, you'll gain exposure to the observations, field data and agronomic expertise that influence crop performance, fruit quality and sustainable production outcomes across both citrus and table grape operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career while working across diverse crop, farming operations and production systems, developing the practical expertise and technical capability needed to build a long-term career in agronomy.
About this position:
As a Graduate – Agronomy, you'll build experience across crop production, agronomic programs and technical field-based activities while developing a practical understanding of how premium citrus and table grape crops are grown, monitored and optimised throughout the growing season.
One day you may be monitoring crop health, irrigation performance or pest management activities, while another may involve supporting field trials, analysing crop data or working alongside experienced agronomists to evaluate production outcomes. This variety provides valuable experience in the science and decision-making that underpin successful crop production across multiple growing systems.
