IT Service Continuity Manager - Disaster Recovery

As the IT Service Continuity Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager - Service Management, you will oversee, govern, and mature the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) practice across all Endeavour Group brands. Leading a team of 1–2 direct reports, you will ensure our enterprise technology services are structurally resilient and capable of recovering rapidly from catastrophic disruptions to safeguard business continuity, customer trust, and operational revenue. You will act as an authoritative advisor, transitioning the enterprise from a reactive compliance model to a proactive resilience framework by critically reviewing technical architectures, establishing service-tiering models, and maintaining alignment with overall business strategy.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Continuity Planning: Developing, updating, and executing detailed IT service continuity plans, strategies, and roadmaps aligned with overarching business continuity goals.
• Service Tiering: Establishing and governing a structured service-tiering model to categorise IT services by criticality while defining clear Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Dependency Mapping: Facilitating cross-functional workshops and data-elicitation sessions to map system dependencies across complex cloud, hybrid, networking, and end-user compute environments.
• Simulation & Testing: Designing and executing real-world recovery scenario simulations ("Game Days") across disaster variations to prepare technical teams for catastrophic events.
• Crisis Management: Stepping in to lead or support the technical response during severe outages, drawing on strong incident and crisis management experience to orchestrate rapid service restoration.
• Vendor Governance: Assessing and validating third-party suppliers, SaaS providers, and cloud partners to ensure their technical recovery capabilities meet internal RTO and RPO targets.
• Audit & Compliance: Serving as the primary point of contact for IT continuity audit support, ensuring alignment with internal governance, industry benchmarks, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Conducting post-exercise reviews after DR tests to identify improvement areas and continuously refine recovery procedures.
• Team Leadership: Directly leading, managing, and mentoring a small team of Disaster Recovery coordinators to foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Enterprise Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years focused on ITSCM, Disaster Recovery, or Major Incident/Resiliency infrastructure roles within a complex enterprise.
• Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree or certifications like ITIL, CBCP, or CISSP considered desirable.
• Technical Breadth: Deep technical awareness across modern enterprise technology stacks, including Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure, Enterprise Networking, SaaS ecosystems, and End-user compute.
• Domain Context: Previous experience navigating complex, large-scale environments, with experience in retail or highly regulated corporate governance frameworks considered highly advantageous.
• Crisis Response: Proven hands-on crisis management capability with the composure to lead technical responses under pressure.
• Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with a track record of building trusting relationships from systems engineers to senior management.
• Analytical Mindset: A pragmatic, analytical mindset with a detail-oriented approach to maintaining consistency and accuracy across continuity processes.
