About the role
Tyrepower Weipa is seeking a skilled and reliable Tyrefitter / Wheel Aligner to join our team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Based in Weipa, Far North Queensland, you'll play a key role in maintaining vehicle safety and performance through professional tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignment services. You'll work on a diverse range of passenger vehicles, 4WDs, light trucks and commercial fleets in a busy, customer-focused workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Fit, balance and replace tyres on a wide range of passenger, 4WD, SUV and light commercial vehicles.

• Perform wheel alignments using modern alignment equipment.

• Inspect tyres and wheels for damage, wear and safety compliance.

• Carry out puncture repairs, tyre rotations and general tyre maintenance.

• Maintain accurate job records and service documentation.

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and advice on tyre care and maintenance.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

• Operate and maintain tyre fitting and wheel alignment equipment.

• Follow all company policies, procedures and Australian automotive industry standards.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Tyrefitter and/or Wheel Aligner.

• Demonstrated competency in tyre fitting, balancing and wheel alignment.

• Experience using tyre fitting and wheel alignment equipment.

• Current manual driver's licence.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work.

The following would be highly regarded, but are not essential:

• Certificate III in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology or a related qualification.

• Experience working on commercial vehicles and fleet maintenance.

• Forklift, MR or HR licence.
